Granted, American Idol is a pretty cheesy show. Simon and his T shirt....Paula and her drug addicted ways....Randy never mentioning he played bass for Journey during that Raised on Radio phase(ooooooooooh.......chills)!!!

Tonight, however, Idol did their show plus raise money for AFRICA...Katrina victims....poverty in general.

HEY I THINK I FIXED IT!!!

If you watched the show and saw the vignettes on all of the above you couldn't help but feel very very bad about the state of the world especially AFRICA. It's just very, very sad what's going on there(keep your Racist jokes to yourself!!!!).

So anyway, none of the contestants got kicked off tonight( I called that at the beginning of the show when Seacrest said "a SHOCKING VOTE!!!!")So some of the performances will be available on iTUNES and the cost will be donated to charity. Most of the performances were..........not worth the money. But Jeff Beck was onstage with Kelly Clarkson with a great blues tune. I'm willing to pay for that. It will probably be 1.99. I figured I did my part. Then Mrs. TBONE said something to the effect of...."Way to unloose those purstrings..Mr. Miser!!!!"

Then I went and found the website for donations and threw in $20.00. Tell me I don't care. That 20 dollars paid for malaria medicine for 5 children. I feel as good as when I went to the National Aquarium in Baltimore and bought ten acre of rainforest with each quarter I put in the machine there. ( I swear a Holiday Inn is on the way to that spot. Once I figure out exactly where that spot is. I'll have STING play the grand opening!!!)

Anyway, for those of you who think it's all about beer and rock in my world......well, it is. But every once in a while...I do care.

The list can go on and on and on. I think I need to call my doctor and up the dosage!! I'm beginning to lose control!!!
