Am I Old? UMMMM..........

Dear God, I'm feeling old.

There I am in Sea Isle City on Saturday with the Rock n Roll patrol at Lacosta Lounge. We're at the outside deck area. Dr. bobby Fingers is playing. There isn't a song this guy doesn't know. Go see him when you get a chance.

So anyway I'm looking out and all I can see are drunk 21,22,23 year olds as far as the eye can see. Literally everywhere you turn somebody's drunk. And acting like a complete JACKASS!!

I watched a girl have a beer on the deck, walk to the pizza place(more like stumble) next door, have a slice, and then......throw up on the steps out front....AND NOT FROM THE PIZZA. She actually found it to be kind of amusing. Her boyfriend wiped off her face( he didn't do it for love....he did for the kinky action he'll be up to later because she's not gonna remember!!)..and she walked on her way. Off to the next beer.

I watched another guy just stumble his way through the crowd. No"excuse me"..no "coming through!"... it was almost like he couldn't wait to see where the fight was going to be that he started.

Now don't get me wrong. I am certainly not on a high horse. When I was in my 20's I was drunk PLENTY!!! And I'm sure I made a jackass out of myself PLENTY!!!! But here I am in my mid 30's. Wife, 2 kids, house, bills, cars, etc. ...and i just can't imagine going through life that way.

It's just that whole age thing that hits you every once in a while. But then I go home, see how everything has fallen into place, and then it's not about being old, it's just...........right.
